Katrina stormed into Bradley's office angry about his performance in Hollywood. He failed to seal deals with major producers and department store owners to used their designs and costumes were causing the company to lose a tremendous amount of money.
Brad looked up at Katrina not in the mood for any of her whining, "What do I owe this visit from Veritas' first lady?" he asked looking back down at his computer.
"What is it going to take for you to do something right?" she grilled hovering over his desk.
Brad turned his chair and faced Katrina, "Mind telling me what you're ranting about?" he asked growing testy. It seemed like someone was clawing at his heels every time he turned around and he wasn't sure how much more he could take.
"I'm not sure if you noticed this Brad, but Veritas is failing because of you!" Katrina exclaimed pointing her finger at him.
Brad began to laugh at his sister in law, he never took Katrina serious but since she was married to his brother and the mother of his nieces and nephew he had to put up with her. Katrina always thought of herself as San Diego's "Wonder Woman", but truth was she left people wondering and not in a good way.
"You know I'll never realize what Jonathan sees in you, but then again you two are meant for each other." Brad chortled.
Jonathan skipped into Brad's office with a big smile on his face, Jonathan's plot to take down Sterling Clothing Inc. seemed to coming together. Last week, he learn that Felicia had been promoted to Vice President, this was a sign that his rival Demetrius was beginning to slack off and make terrible business decisions.
Katrina smiled hugging her husband followed by a swift kiss, "You're very chipper!" she noted, rubbing his chest.
"For once!" Brad uttered under his breath.
Jonathan narrowed his eyes at Brad's remark then smiled, he was determined not to let anything ruin his day, "Let's just say that soon, we'll be back on top." he stated with an astonishing grin, leaving Brad confused once again.
Scene 2- The Sterling Building
Gloria stepped out of the elevator with a bright smile, time away from the office did her some good, even though she spent most of her time at St Mark's Memorial Hospital with her sister. Gloria trotted down the hall determined not to let anything or anyone get her down, not even her father, Travis or that ruby red lipstick, wannabe Vice President wearing Felicia.
Gloria walked into the boardroom where Salle Fields, a writer from Persona Magazine sat patiently. "Oh hi, you must be Salle. I'm Gloria!" she asserted extending her hand.
Salle stood up and shook Gloria's hand, "It's a pleasure to meet you. I was waiting for your Vice President to come back with our contract." she stated with an accomplished smile.
Gloria crossed her arms, bewildered by Salle's comment, "I don't get it, what did you mean?"
Salle laughed softly, "Felicia Hensley, right?"
"Persona Magazine wanted to do a story on the power struggle that has erupted here within the company and she gave us the go ahead to further it...I was just waiting on her to draw up a contract."
Gloria bit her bottom lip fearing that Felicia may have shot the company in the ass with this poor decision, not mention she agreed on something without consulting her first. Gloria huffed growing infuriated, she'd broke her promise to herself not to let anyone get her angry but she hated when someone made a terrible decision.
Felicia walked in quickly waving the contract around, "Alright Salle I've got it, here is the contract!"
Gloria turned around and quickly grabbed the contract away from Felicia skimming over it, Gloria frowned unsatisfied with the terms of the contract, "This is unacceptable!" she announced ripping the contract up.
"I'm sorry Salle but this isn't going to happen!"
Scene 3- The Morrow House
Thunder rumbled lightly, as dark grey skies began to build over the ocean water. Paul sat outside on the patio listening to his I pod that his youngest son gave him last year for Christmas. Anthony slid the door open and crept unto the patio and tapped his father on the shoulder.
"Hey son, You doing better?" Paul asked taking his earphones out of his ears.
"Couldn't be better!" Anthony answered with a fake smiled as he sat down. Anthony found himself in the middle of accusations being thrown at his wife from his mother and his sister about her having an affair. Anthony recently issue Leona an ultimatum to leave is Paige alone or he'd disown her and with the outburst Leona and Eva caused yesterday, the decision was made for him.
"Oh come on son." Paul groaned stretching in his chair. Paul tried not to get into his children's live but at the same time he wanted to protect his son from getting hurt badly.
"Come on what?!" Anthony snarled growing angry and tired of everyone having a say in his marriage, "Listen dad I don't mean to be rude or anything but I wish everyone would leave Paige and I alone!"
Paul frowned, he didn't want to tell his son that he saw Paige making out with Maurice at fashion show in December.
"Son your mother and sister don't mean to pry but they just want you to be happy."
"But that's the point they're making things worst. These false accusations are getting out of hand!" complained Anthony.
Paul sat up straight and looked his son straight in the eye, "Anthony, how many times has your mother lied to you?" he asked attempting to give his son a reality check.
Scene 4- KIOU News Station
"In case you all didn't know that is thunder you hear off the beach. A severe storm is slowly approaching us." the meteorologist explained for the 6'o clock news.
Eva stood watching the meteorologist in awe, she was always fascinated by the weather plus the guy telling the weather was a very attractive man. One of the interns ran out of the producers room and handed Eva a note.
"There's someone in my office??" she read to herself beginning to wonder who it could be. Hopefully it was Anthony coming to apologize about small argument they had yesterday. Eva crumbled the piece of paper in her hand and dropped in the trashcan as she made her way to her office.
Eva slowly opened the door and raised an eyebrow seeing Marsha sitting on her desk, "You're still in town?" she teased closing the door.
"Why wouldn't I be? I have family here!" she reminded Eva sternly standing up.
Eva giggled to herself, she couldn't believe she would even consider calling her daughter family after dropping her off at the age of three. Eva really didn't have time for a lot of mind games today but she could use a good laugh and since she saw right through her old partner in crime she decided to entertain Marsha's antics.
"Let me guess...you need my help in another plot to get Travis to fall in love with you again? Or do you need money?" Eva questions walking over to her desk grabbing her scripts for the 11 o clock news.
Marsha crossed her arms getting detruded, she forgot much of bitch Eva could be. She smiled reminding herself to stick to the plan. Marsha took out the pictures of Demetrius and Felicia making love and slid them across the desk to Eva.
"I think this would help the station get syndicated."
Scene 5- KIOU News Station
A suspicious Eva looked at Marsha while she opened the envelope Marsha just gave her with a sharp letter opener. She gasped surprised seeing the pictures of Demetrius and Felicia having sex.
"Where did you get these?" she asked quickly, not knowing how to feel about getting such devastating pictures. Eva threw the pictures on her desk shaking her head refusing to accept them.
Marsha frowned hurt by Eva's rejection, "You don't want to get syndicated?"
"Not if it means hurting people, Melanie is my god mother!" Eva exclaimed finding herself at a crossroad. "plus Sharon and I are good friends."
Marsha grinned Eva reacted the way she wanted her to, "Look at it this way, you'll be saving Melanie from an adulterer!"
Eva sighed she couldn't help ruin the marriage of
"I'm sorry Marsha but I'm not going to play this game."
Marsha smiled clasping together as if she was praying, she brought them to her lips and accepted the fact Eva wasn't going to be any help.
"Then I guess this conversation is done." she whispered putting on her blonde wig. "You can keep the pictures."
Marsha walked out of the room with an evil grin, Eva hurried to the door and locked it, she ran back to her desk and looked at the pictures on more time before stuffing them on her desk.
"Oh lord, what am I going to do?"
Scene 6- Veritas Building
Brad fixed himself a glass of water and sat down on the edge of his desk growing angry with Jonathan, "Like usual you leave me out of the dark. Then expect me to go travel off into the night just so you can sit in Demetrius' $85 chair."
Jonathan smiled and kissed his little brother softly on the forehead, "You're right." he whispered ruffling Brad's hair. "And this time I expect you to go to Fresno and meet with Diane Sharp of Sharp Visions an upcoming chain of stores."
"For what?"
Katrina huffed becoming annoyed by Bradley's inquiries, "My god Bradley, have you not forgotten that we need to win popularity so we can increase our sales."
"Thanks for reminding me!" Brad replied bluntly.
Jonathan laughed at his brother's dry humor then placed his hands on his hips becoming concerned, "Little brother why do you doubt my plan?"
"Do you not realize Demetrius is making terrible busy decisions that have caused a disruption in the company?" Jonathan asked his brother referring to Demetrius promoting Felicia and the power struggle it's caused.
Brad narrowed his eyes at Jonathan, "I'm tired of doing your dirty work!"
"It's not dirty work!" Jonathan protested stomping his feet pouting. "It's our plan to takeover Sterling Clothing Inc coming together."
"Bradley just sit tight!" Katrina kindly instructed, "Everyone will get what they deserve!"
Scene 7- The Sterling Building
"Gloria! What the hell did you just do?" Felicia cried out scrambling to pick up the ripped contract. "This was a great way to bring publicity to the company!"
"It'll bring bad publicity and between you and my father we don't anymore of that!" Gloria growled, now focusing her attention on Salle, "I'm very sorry you traveled across the country but this isn't going to happen."
Salle smiled and nodded her head slowly understanding were Gloria was coming from. "But you've forgotten one thing, Gloria we still have a verbal consent and I've got it all on the tape we used for the interview."
"If you'll excuse me Salle, I need to speak with Felicia!" she hissed.
Salle picked up her computer bag, "That's okay, I wanted to visit with Tiffany before we went to the airport." Salle smirked satisfied with how things went as she quickly walked out of the room.
Gloria glared at Felicia, she could slap the living taste out of her mouth, "Silly woman look what you've done now."
Felicia walked over to the door and closed it, "I haven't done anything but get our name out."
"What the hell do you mean get our name out. It's already out there...did you every think about the topic of the story? Power Struggle and Sterling Clothing Inc. shouldn't be in the same sentence!"
"People will see past that Gloria! Why can't you just accept me as your business equal?"
Gloria laughed, "Business equal? Felicia did you make that up? Let's be serious, if you continue to make business decisions like that no one is going to accept you as their "business" equal. Ruby Red, an intern would not have made an unstable decision like that."
Felicia nodded her head with an angry smile as she crossed her arms, "Face it, just because it's me, you've blown everything out of proportion. If it was Regina or Jeffery you would've been calm about the whole situation. This whole ting isn't about bringing bad publicity to the company. Your still mad that we're partners."
"No one as dumb as you should've been promoted to V.P." Gloria replied softly, "and as long as you're VP...I quit!"
Gloria grabbed her bag and stormed out of the room yelling she quit, leaving a teary eyed Felicia in the boardroom. She finally got what she wanted but at the same time she was disappointed that it came to that.
Scene 8- The Morrow House
Paul waited patiently for Anthony to get off the phone with Paige, he frowned wondering how two kind people could get themselves in such a mess. He sighed sitting back in seat accepting that that how's life is sometimes as an answer to his question. He smiled at his son's grin, it was obvious Anthony was love with Paige but remembering how Paige kissed Maurice suddenly upset him.
Paul laughed to him self heading around the corner to go to the kitchen to take care of the fuse that went out in the stove. He stop seeing Paige, his daughter in law and Maurice in the middle of a kiss.
"Dad do you think mom knows something that I don't?" Anthony asked interrupting Paul's flash back.
"Son, I saw Paige kissing someone at the fashion show." Paul whispered.
Anthony frowned overcome with grief and sadness the woman he love for most of his life wasn't the person he thought she was and to it top off he'd turned against his family for Paige.
"Why didn't you tell me?" he snarled sitting down.
Paul ran his fingers through his hand, he knew this moment with his son was coming but he wasn't ready to deal with it.
"Ant, how could I tell you the woman you've loved most of your life has been cheating on you."
Anthony bit his lip trying to hold back his tears, he didn't want to believe his father but he knew that Paul wouldn't lie to him. He felt like an ass for treating Leona the way he did and stupid for trusting Paige. He exhaled as tears fell down his face.
"Do you know who the guys was?" he manage to choke out through his tears.
"I wish I could tell you who he was." lied Paul. He couldn't tell Anthony that it was one of his best friends. Paul stood up and hugged Anthony. "I'm so sorry son."
"Dad I don't want it to be over!" he whispered.
Scene 9- The Sterling Mansion
"Folks this storm is going to be one of the worst ones we will have this year. Please do not go outdoors if you have to, this something that San Diego has never seen!" Eva voiced warned. Marsha took the remote and turned off the TV.
"Eva doesn't realize it but I'm going to get her too. She is going to use those pictures and which is going to ruin her career." she predicted wrapping her hair around her head.
"No one messes with me!"
Marsha sat on Carmella's bed combing her blonde wig she used for disguise as Bonita the maid with a bright smiled. She managed to get the replacement role for Carmella who quit out of the blue...thanks to Marsha who held a gun to her head and coached her into to doing it in order to get closer to her daughter.
"I can't believe this is actually working." she said looking at an old baby picture of Jackie, "I wonder how you look now?"
"Probably like your father! she growled. "He and Lisa better enjoy their time together because their days together are numbered!"
Marsha stood up and put on her wig adjusting it in the mirror, making sure she looked right. She reached in her compact and fixed her make up. "I'd better get down there, everyone is going to be hungry in a few!"
"Bonita??" Melanie's called from downstairs.
"Coming!!" Marsha yell in a Hispanic accent. She smiled to herself, "it's Showtime ladies and gentlemen."
Marsha blew a kiss to the mirror then hurried downstairs to start the second part of her plan, getting to know Jackie and drive a wedge between Lisa and Travis.
