Episode 8, "Buns in the Oven" (Printable Version)

Scene 1- The Sterling Building

"As of now we will have two Vice-President." explained Regina who stood in the lobby by a black and white 8x10 picture of Demetrius drawing a design for a dress explaining the new changes to a few workers, as Melanie exited off the elevator and past by.

Earlier today Demetrius promoted Felicia Jones his top dress designer, to Vice President to share responsibility with his daughter and Felicia's rival, Gloria Sterling.

"So how are Gloria and Felicia going to work together? Everyone knows those two don't get along!" one of the interns asked.

Regina frowned, not knowing the answer to that question herself. "We'll have to wait and see, Michael."

Overhearing the conversation, Melanie stopped and approached Regina, as the interns walked off, "Hi, Regina, nice to see you again."

Regina smiled sweetly at Melanie, "Oh hi Mrs. Sterling, the pleasure is all mine."

Melanie grinned back, "Umm, listen. I couldn't help but hear you and the interns. What did that young man mean when he asked how my daughter and Felicia were going to work together?"

Regina pursed her lips and grunted softly, this was a topic she didn't want to discuss, especially with Melanie.

"uhh...I think you should discuss that with Gloria, or Demetrius."

"You know what I think I will." Melanie replied, growing impatient. She hated when people didn't answer her questions.

"Good bye, Regina." she uttered dryly, heading towards Gloria's office.

"Goodbye, Melanie." Regina said softly.

"I hate to be on her bad side."

Scene 2- St. Marks Memorial Hospital

Candace waited impatiently by the window in Emergency Room waiting room to find out any word on her sister, Lisa who collapsed at the bistro.

"Have you heard anything?" Jessica asked walking up slowly with a cup of water.

Without saying a word, Candace shook her head no, "I wish they would tell me something!"

Jessica exhaled, "hopefully they'll know something soon."

An alarmed Katrina, and Travis hurried into the emergency room and searched franticly around for Candace or Jessica.

Candace looked up, "There's my mother and Travis."

"TRAVIS!!" Jessica called out to them, beating Candace to the punch.

Katrina and Travis walked quickly over to them, "What is going on? What happened to Lisa?" Katrina asked.

Jessica approached beginning to explain what happened, "We went out to eat and everything was fine, then..."

"...She past out." shouted Candace rudely interrupting Jessica.

Travis crossed his arms extremely concerned, "How long has she been back there?"

"For about an hour." Jessica answered quickly before Candace could. "They're running test on her right now."

Katrina sighed in an attempt to relief some stress, "Listen I need to find a doctor to see what's going on. Jessica will you come with me?"

Jessica nodded, "sure, I need to get away from this area." she stated referring to being around Candace.

Candace rolled her eyes, aggravated by Jessica's comment as the two walked away. She looked at Travis and placed her hands on her hips.

"Do you think Lisa could be pregnant?"

Scene 3- The Morrowian Bistro

Anthony made sure his gun was conceal in his black leather jacket and adjusted his San Diego Police badge entering into an empty bistro.

"Hey Anthony, I'd been meaning to talk to you." Leona said warmly standing behind Anthony.

Anthony smiled, hearing his mother's voice. "Hey ma, how are you?"

"Where is everyone?" he asked looking around.

Leona frowned, "Travis' wife past out, so we closed down for a while until things cooled off."

Anthony's smiled faded as he grew weary, "Is everything alright, it wasn't anything serious was it?"

"I'm not sure. Candace said she'd call if anything else occurred."

Anthony's grin found it's way back to his face, "So do you have time to eat lunch with your son?"

"Why yes of course, we haven't had lunch together in a while." Leona happily replied.

Leona and Anthony chuckled walking past the bar, where Joshlynne sat having a glass of water while she waited for her sandwich.

Joshlynne placed her glass on the coaster with a faint smile, "Only a matter of time till Demetrius is mine." she thought to herself. Everything seemed to be coming together in her plan to break up Demetrius and Melanie, so she could be the next Mrs. Demetrius R. Sterling.

Folarin walked up to the bar and sat down, "Can I get a rum and coke? Easy on the ice." he requested of the bar tender.

Joshlynne narrowed her eyes recognizing the male's voice, "Folarin?"

Folarin looked over at Joshlynne with a sneaky grin, "Hello Joshlynne. Didn't think I'd see you here."

Joshlynne sat up straight and crossed her arms, alarmed seeing this familiar face. "What are you doing here, Folarin?"

Folarin pouted, "What? Not happy to see your little brother?"

Scene 4- The Sterling Building

"Tiffany you wanted to see me?" Jasmine asked taking a seat, while her best friend Shaugnessy closed the door to Tiffany's office. "William said it was urgent."

"I hope you mind me bringing Shaun. We we're going to the bistro to eat, before I got the call."

Tiffany grinned standing up, "No not all, thanks for coming sweetie." she said softly hugging her niece. "I wanted to talk to you about a few situations."

"Situations?" Jasmine inquired confused, "what's going on?"

"Well, it's nothing really." Tiffany lied, "I just realized that I wasn't up to par when comes to things like sexual harassments and things like that."

Jasmine nodded, beginning to comprehend, the situation. "oh ok."

"Tiffany are you being sexual harassed by someone?" Shaugnessy asked still trying to figure out why this topic came about.

Tiffany laughed a bit now embarrassed, "No honey, well there is a situation that has potential to give us a serious a lawsuit, so I was wonder what could we do to avoid the lawsuit."

Jasmine sighed taking a seat, "Well I trust you and daddy has a written harassment policy. You need to make sure everyone knows about it and fully understand it! That way it will save you some writing some floozy a big check."

Tiffany smiled feeling a sense of hope, now that she knowing that Felicia couldn't harm the company more than she already has her nodded sitting back in her seat, "really?"

"So let me get his straight Jasmine, as long as we make sure the policy is known to everyone, we won't have a lawsuit on our hands."

Jasmine smiled nodding her head, "Exactly."

"But does Dad know about this?"

Tiffany placed her hands on her hips, delighted she finally can fight back, "He will soon enough."

Scene 5- The Morrowian Bistro

Joshlynne pulled Folarin into the seat next to her, "What the hell are you doing here?" she asked coldly.

"Is that anyway to greet me?" Folarin stated with a childhood smirk. "But to answer your question, I'm here on business."

Joshlynne rolled her eyes, taking a sip from her drink, "So you're here making another one of those run?"

"Well if you want to call it that." Folarin replied quickly.

"Listen big sis I was wondering if I could stay with you for a while."

Joshlynne looked at her brother, raising her eyebrow, "What's a while?"

Folarin smiled, "Long enough for me to get things situated down here, this is a permanent move."

Joshlynne chuckled a bit, "Really? I'm dying to hear how this came about."

Folarin laughed, "Let's just say that, when you want something done right. Ya gotta do it yourself."

Scene 6- The Sterling Building

Zipping up his pant zipper Demetrius hurried out of Felicia's office and headed toward the lobby, where he noticed his daughter Jasmine and Shaugnessy departing Tiffany's office.

"Well isn't this a surprised." He exclaimed approaching the two. "What brings you both by?"

Jasmine smiled hugging her father, "Hi Dad, Tiffany and I had to discuss a few things."

"not to mention the dinner date we have planned tonight." Shaugnessy added with a smiled.

Demetrius hid his concerns through his smile, "Oh great. I remember you two always having those tea parties with Gloria."

Jasmine grinned a bit, then gasped remember she had to tell her father something, "Daddy, did I tell you James Blackthorne's nephew was killed in that terrible earthquake."

Demetrius frowned, he and James Blackthorne were good friends not to mention James always used Sterling Clothing to design costumes for any movies he produced.

"I just hate it for them, I mean they've been through a lot." Shaugnessy voiced softly.

Demetrius grinned coming up with an idea, "Perhaps a visit from you too would cheer them up."

Jasmine pursed her lips confused, "What do you mean?"

Demetrius laughed, "I have to take care of some business in that area, then after that. Us three could go and visit James and his family."

Shaugnessy and Jasmine looked at each other playing with the idea in their heads.

"That sounds like a plan." Jasmine exclaimed with a grin.

Demetrius laughed, "Well then it's a date!" he touched Jasmine's shoulder softly, "listen I have to make a few phone calls, meet me at the jet around 3 on tomorrow."

Jasmine smiled, "okay."

Jasmine and Shaugnessy entered the elevator, they waved to Demetrius once last time as the doors closed. Demetrius turned and started toward his office but stopped noticing Tiffany exiting her office.

Tiffany looked up and glared at her brother, "I hope you can sleep tonight!" she coldly uttered before brushing past him.

Scene 7- St Marks Memorial Hospital

"Any word?" Travis asked, Jessica and Katrina as they returned.

Katrina frowned from disappointment, "no...all we know is that they're still running test."

Candace frowned, "Daddy called, he said he was going to meet us at the house."

Katrina nodded, grabbing Travis' arm, "I hope everything is ok."

Travis smiled, "I sure hope so."

Scott approached the four holding Lisa's medical chart, "Well everything seems to be ok?" he confirmed placing a hand on Travis' shoulder. "There's nothing to worry about my friend."

Travis smiled, feeling relieved.

Katrina crossed her arms, still uncertain, "Scott why did my daughter pass out?"

Scott took a breath, "Well it seems she was dehydrated. Just give her some liquids and plenty of rest."

"So can when can she be released?" Travis asked.

"In a few hours, I want her to rest up." Scott replied. "But you can go see her though.

"Oh Great!" Jessica said as she, Katrina and Candace headed towards Lisa's room.

"thanks a lot man." Travis said, before running off to catch up.

Scene 8- The Sterling Building

"Now let me get this straight, Your father promoted Felicia?" Melanie asked sitting down on the couch by the window in Gloria's office.

"Yes, mother. It was so embarrassing." Gloria complained. "Daddy knows how much I despise that woman."

"Then on top of that Travis went along with it!"

Melanie covered her mouth, shaking her head in belief.

"You know those two have always schemed together, I'm just surprised that Tiffany went along with it."

Gloria shook her head, "Not even, Mother. She's just as furious as I am. They out voted her."

Melanie sat back in her seat, "I'm going have a word or two with your father, this whole thing doesn't seem right."

Gloria nodded her head eagerly, "and you just wait till I see that Felicia, this is a fight she isn't going to win."

Melanie stood up and touched Gloria's shoulder, "Honey, Don't let that girl get the best of you."

Gloria rolled her eyes, exhaling.

Scene 9- St. Marks Memorial Hospital

Lisa laid with her eyes closing, thinking about the news she just received,

"Scotty I can't be pregnant." Lisa complained, knowing that Travis' ex girlfriend was still lurking around scared her.

Katrina, Travis, Candace and Jessica entered interrupting Lisa's thoughts

Lisa smiled seeing her friends and family, "Hi everyone, thanks for coming."

Travis smiled relieved his wife was ok, "Baby how are you feeling?" he asked kissing her on the forehead.

Lisa closed her eyes, "I feel a lot better."

Katrina sat on the bed beside Lisa grinning, "Honey, Scott said you could leave in a little while."

Candace frowned touching Jessica's arm, "I'm sorry for being rude today...both of you." she said looking at Jessica and Lisa.

"I feared you weren't going to wake up."

Jessica smiled softly, "Well she's up, now and ok."

Katrina stood up, "Come on girls let's leave these two alone to talk."

Candace and Jessica nodded.

Katrina kissed Lisa on the forehead, "I love you."

"Love you too, mother."

Katrina, Candace and Jessica exited the room.

Travis leant over and kissed Lisa gently, "Don't scare me like that again."

Lisa laughed, "don't worry I won't."

Lisa smiled at Travis, then closed her eyes and laid back to her concerns of telling Travis the truth...they're having a baby.

"Scott do me a favor and keep this between us, I don't want anyone to know right now." Lisa stated fearfully.

Scott nodded, "I don't understand why but ok, your secret is safe with me."

Scene 10- The Morrowian Bistro

"So did you ever decided where you wanted to go this summer?" Anthony asked placing his glass down on the table.

"No really Anthony." Leona answered slightly annoyed, "I don't have any intentions of going anywhere with your wife.

Anthony frowned, "Ma I thought you two were getting along."

"You don't know her like I know her." Leona said softly, "Son she is going to hurt you."

Anthony sat back in his chair and looked off, growing angry "Mother you said that, the day we got married."

"You were wrong then and you're wrong now!"

Leona sighed, "Anthony I don't mean to upset you but..."

"...but nothing! Ma you've never like Paige, since the day you've two met. Perhaps you would be willing to get along with her for the sake of me."

"Do you think she is thinking about you're sake?" Leona asked softly.

Frustrated Anthony got up from his seat quickly.

Leona looked up at Anthony, "Where are you going?"

"Ma I'm done talking about this. I hope one day you can learn to put your grudges aside." he softly said, before walking away.

Leona looked around then took a sip from his glass, "Damn you, Paige Thomas!"
