Scene 1- Veritas Building

"Aye Bradley, whatcha got for me today?" Jonathan asked, pressing the speaker phone button on his phone in the office.

"I don't have anything for you, right now Johnny."

Jonathan's narrowed his eyes at the phone, "Blackthorne didn't take the bait? Come on Brad, I didn't send you to Hollywood to loaf around, damn it!"

"If Sunset Studios uses our designs it'll send a message to the Sterlings and put us on top." Jonathan whined.

"I hear you Johnny but the man just lost his nephew, he's going to need time....I'm going to need time!" Brad stressed.

Jonathan sighed sitting in his chair, "Little brother I'm counting on you. NOW GET THE JOB DONE!!!"

Jonathan slammed the phone back on the hook, repeatedly.

"Temper, temper, Johnny-Boy. Mother always said you couldn't control your anger." Jeffery said walking in.

"What's got you all worked up this morning?"

Jonathan growled looking up are his brother, "So "Sterling" let you out cage, huh?"

Jeffery chortled, choosing not to respond to his brother's remark, "So what task have you bestowed on our little brother this time?"

"Since when are you so concerned about us, Jeffery?" Jonathan asked sitting back in his seat, becoming defensive.

Jeffery crossed his arms, "Well you two are still my brothers."

"More like the traitor." Jonathan snapped back, "Now tell me something!"

"How are things over at the sweat shop?"

Scene 2- Interstate 5

A 2007 red Ford Mustang eased into the left lane to pass a car that was making a right turn.

"Thanks for inviting me, Jasmine I really needed this." Ashley expressed, relaxing her head on the headrest in the backseat.

Jasmine laughed, "Your welcome. Alex and I thought it would great if you got away for a while."

Shaugnessy adjusted her black sunglasses, "So have you heard any word on your missing son?

Ashley shook her head, "No, nothing yet. Hopefully my son will turn up soon."

Shaugnessy smiled, "I know he will! I have you both in my prayers."

Ashley nodded her head smiling. "That's nice to know."

Jasmine pursed her lips to the side thinking about the odd conversation she had with her aunt. "Shaugnessy, yesterday was odd wasn't it?"

Ashley leant up to the passenger seat, "What happened?"

Shaugnessy looked back at Ashley, "Jasmine's aunt called her in to talk about sexual harassment and lawsuits."

Ashley frowned confused, "You're right that is odd. Wonder what she was talking about?"

Jasmine shrugged, "I don't know, but whatever it is...it was something that would cause Sterling Clothing much harm."

Scene 3- San Diego International Airport

"Hi, Duane...sweetie is your sister home yet?" Felicia asked sweetly walking into the lobby area of the Sterling Jet.

Felicia grinned pulling at the end of her short dress as she took her seat, listening to her son's response over the phone, "Oh great. Well tell her I'll see her when I get back and tell your father I love him, also."

Felicia grinned grabbing a bottle of Chardonnay and two glasses, "I can't wait to see the look on Demetrius' face when he sees me."

"God I love that man." she exclaimed pouring herself a glass of wine.

Felicia sat down in the seat nearest to the window, she loved admiring the clouds in the sky during a flight.

"Shit!" Felicia cried out hearing Jasmine's laugh.

"Umm, Felicia? What are you doing here?" Jasmine asked, dropping her bag by the door.

Felicia turned quickly seeing Ashley, Jasmine and Shaugnessy. "Umm, your father and I are going to L.A. on a business trip."

"There has to be some misunderstanding..." Jasmine responded politely, "My father invited us."

Shaugnessy moved around Jasmine and approached Felicia, "Why would you be going to L.A. with Demetrius?" she inquired sternly.

Felicia smiled sitting down her glass, "It's a business trip, Shaugnessy!" she replied placing the glasses down.

Shaugnessy looked back at Jasmine and Ashley, "I think this is the case your aunt was talking about, Jasmine."

Scene 4- The Sterling Building

Gloria and Melanie walked into the coffee room, "You know Jeffery went to see his brother today." Gloria stated softly walking over to the coffee pot.

"That sounds like a fight waiting to happen." Melanie responded with a slight grin. "Have you talked to your father yet?"

Disgusted Gloria shook her head, "I don't have anything to say to him." she snarled, as Regina walked in.

"Hi, Regina!"

"Good morning!" Regina happily stated.

"Well don't you worry, honey." advised Melanie grabbing a morning paper. "Now if you'll excuse me...I have to pay a certain CEO a visit."

Gloria sat down at the table as Melanie walked out, she sighed being reminded that she'll have to work with the woman she hated most.

Regina smiled sitting down across from Gloria, "You know it could be worse."

Gloria laughed a bit, "if there's something worse then being betrayed by your family, please tell me what it is."

Regina frowned, "Try being beat every day of your life, and being abandon by the people who you thought loved because they think it's your fault."

Gloria gasped covering her mouth in disbelief.

Scene 5- Veritas Building

"To answer your question, everything is pretty good." Jeffery revealed walking over to the pitcher of water. "Unlike here, everyone respects me."

Jonathan smirked, "that water is for Veritas' clients, employees, and guest."

"Not to mention board members, which I still am!" Jeffery reminded his brother pouring himself a glass of water just to push his brother's buttons, "Listen I didn't come to pick a fight with you Jonathan."

"Then why are you here, Jeff!" exclaimed Jonathan standing up from his seat, "You said you were never coming back after you left. YET YOUR STANDING HERE WORKING MY LAST NERVE! IT'S OBVIOUS THAT YOU WANT SOMETHING!"

Jeffery frowned, "I thought we could smooth things over, we're still brothers."

"Brothers don't walk out on each other!" Jonathan growled.

"And brothers don't betray each other." Jeffery stated storming back to the desk, taking a sip from glass "Do you realize you shut me out of the family first."

"I don't call having you voted out of position, shutting you out." Jonathan explained awkwardly, "It was simply getting rid of the weak links and you still had a job here."

"Weak links? I was a DAMN good CEO." Jeffery angrily shouted.

"You were too busy trying to follow in Sterling's footsteps, you almost handed Veritas to him on a silver platter. I did what I had to do for our mother's company."

Jeffery crossed his arms, "I see this conversation isn't going to go anywhere."

"The only thing that should be going anywhere is you. Jeffery as the new and current CEO, I have work to do." Jonathan announced with a kool-aid smile sitting down. "You still remember where the door is, right?"

Jeffery balled his hand into a fist, "Don't get too comfortable, Johnny-Boy." he announced before storming out of the office.

Scene 6- The Sterling Building

"Look at my husband hard at work." acknowledged with a grin Melanie as she peeped her head in Demetrius' office.

Demetrius beamed with joy, looking up at his wife, "Hey hun, what are you doing here?"

Melanie walked to the front of Demetrius' desk, "Well I was in the neighborhood, and I wanted to see you. We have something to discuss."

"Oh really?" Demetrius stated getting up and approaching Melanie. He wrapped his arms around her, "So what did you want to discuss?" he asked kissing her lips softly.

"I'm open for "any" that you would like to discuss" he offered seductively.

Melanie firmly ran her hands down his arms, then placed them on his chest, "Gloria is not happy with you." she stated.

Demetrius frowned putting his hands in his pockets as he sat on his desk, "When is our daughter ever happy with me?"

"So she told you about Felicia's promotion."

Melanie dropped her purse in the chair nearest to her, "Yes, and honestly...I'm not too fond of it either."

Demetrius crossed his arms listening to his wife.

"Demetrius, I think you've made a big mistake."

Demetrius stared blankly at Melanie, she never questioned his motives until now which made him think.

"I'd have to disagree, these last months Felicia has proved that she can hold her own...it's really no problem it just a three month trial. Gloria failed to let us explain before she flew off the handle. I want to try her out and see how everything works out."

Not buying what Demetrius' response Melanie ran her fingers through her hair, "Felicia is not a businesswoman, Demetrius. Not to mention it's an insult to our daughter. Those two have never gotten along and you've added fire to the flame, with this promotion."

Demetrius sighed, "I understand, but those two are going to have to learn to get along. I don't mean to be rude to you but I'm not going to change this decision."

Melanie exhaled, "Well then I guess this conversation is over."

Scene 7- The Sterling Building

Gloria sat her coffee down and rested her jaw in palm of her right hand, interested to hear what Regina had to say.

Regina closed her eyes and confirmed her a slight nod, "How can someone so nice turn out to be so evil?"

"When I met him, he was a pretty nice guy. Tall, Dark and Handsome...I just knew he was Mr. Right." Regina explained, chuckling a bit as she clenching her cup, with both hands.

Gloria smiled a bit, "What did he do for a living?"

"A District Attorney."

"Oh, which means he had the law on his side."

"Yes." Regina replied softly as tears began to fall slowly from her eyes, "He used his charm to fool everyone, including me."

"After he put a gorgeous rock on my hand, he started putting a fist to my face."

Gloria frowned.

"Gloria, I endured two years of his beatings before I finally got the courage to leave."

"And you came here."

"Yeah, I thought it would be the start of something new." Regina stated wiping her tears away. "I can't even begin to how it feels to be betrayed by the ones you love."

Gloria smirked taking a sip from her mug, "It's happening now. Sometimes I feel like everything is slipping away and there's nothing I can do about it."

Scene 8- San Diego International Airport

"I think it's best if I go." Felicia suggested as she quickly gulped down her glass of wine and grabbed her purse in attempt to leave.

"Oh no, you're not going anywhere!" Shaugnessy protested stepping in front of Felicia, "You still have a lot of explaining to do!"

"Like what!"

"Like why you're in this skimpy little red, for a "business" trip."

"I didn't know there was a dress code for a business trip!" exclaimed Felicia growing impatient.

"there isn't one for a quick little tryst, either!"

Jasmine shook her head growing weary of the two bickering, she stepped between the two, "Alright this is enough."

"Felicia why are you really here?" Jasmine asked scratching the middle of her forehead.

"Your father and I were going to L.A. to meet with Diane Sharp, of Sharp Visions to close a deal. This would've been my first deal as V.P."

Jasmine sighed, "My father did mention something about closing a deal this morning at breakfast."

Felicia nodded happy that Jasmine was buying to her lie, since only Demetrius was suppose to attend.

Ashley approached Shaugnessy, "Maybe Mr. Sterling forgot to tell us."

"I guess." snarled Shaugnessy crossing her arms still unconvinced.

"You know Demetrius and I can always re-schedule the meeting." Felicia softly offered.

Jasmine nodded, "Well I'm going to go let the pilot know we're here."

"Want to come Ashley?"

Ashley shrugged, "ok."

As Ashley and Jasmine walked into the pilot's cabin, Felicia attempted to leave again but Shaugnessy grabbed her arm, and pulled her back.

"Hey get your hands off me!" Felicia desperately demanded.

"You may have fool Jasmine but I see through you and I'm going to find out what's going on!"

Felicia snatched her arm back from Shaugnessy, "I'm done with this." she utter before storming off the jet.

Scene 9- The Sterling Building

Regina laughed to herself amazed Gloria opened up to her, "You know what?"

"What?" Gloria asked, with a confused smile on her.

"You're not as bad as Joshlynne makes you out to be."

Gloria rolled her eyes, at the thought of Joshlynne, "Everyone is the bad guy in that woman's eye. I'd be careful around her if I was you."

Regina looked away wondering if she should heed Gloria's warning as a distraught Jeffery inattentively walked in, reading the paper.

Gloria looked up at her husband then pouted a bit realizing something was wrong. "Jeffery, How was things with your brother?"

"Oh I didn't know you two were here." uttered Jeffery putting down the paper realizing he wasn't in the room alone, "Things went as good as they're going to get with him. That's something I'm going to have to put in the past."

Gloria stood up and approached him, "Let's get out of here."

Jeffery smiled, "I like that idea. Come on."

"Bye Regina, Nice talking to you."

Gloria grabbed Jeffery's hand allow him to lead the way out as they exited the room leaving Regina to a cup of coffee and a paper.

Regina sighed in disappointment, hating the fact that Jeffery was a married man, she looked up and jumped noticed the figure at the door, then smiled realizing who it was, "I didn't think you worked here anymore."

Joshlynne grinned evilly as she joined Regina at the table, "If you stick with me Regina, then Jeffery will be all yours!"

Scene 10- The Sterling Mansion

Melanie laid her purse on the couch in the living room as Carmella quickly dusted the mantle, "Carmella, Has your son arrived?"

Carmella stopped and faced Melanie with a bright smiled, "Yes, Mrs. Sterling. He's waiting for you in Mr. Sterling's home office.

"Thank you." Melanie replied sweetly, before she head up the stairs, "Oh and Carmella?"

"Yes?"

"This is really important, so please don't let anyone disturb this meeting."

Ty Funtes stood in the middle of Demetrius' home office admiring a picture of Demetrius and Melanie laughing on at a function, as the door opened.

"Ty, thanks for seeing me, do you have it?",

Ty pulled out a envelope and handed it to Melanie, "$50 Thousand, just like you asked."

Melanie closed her eyes and held the envelope to her chest in pleasure, "Demetrius is to never know about these transactions, deal?"

Ty nodded, "Understood."
